The St. Rose of Lima (Newark, N.J.) Alumni Association 
is an independent, non-profit corporation that exists to:

* Bring together the organized efforts of Alumni and Friends to serve the students and the school through advocacy, counsel and fund raising;

* Foster a commitment of loyalty and friendship among Alumni, Friends, the Students and the School, and

* Disseminate information that will keep Alumni and Friends well informed about the Students, School and Association.

October 2002: Sponsored Reunion at the school and Spaghetti Dinner; recruited chefs' union members for continuing programs.
December 2002: Provided transportation for Holiday theater outing; 
provided four guitars to inaugurate Music Department.
January 2003: Participated in Teacher Appreciation Day with gifts and luncheon.
February 2003: SRLAA officially incorporated.
May 2003: Sponsored class trip: SRL Day at Newark Bears game.
June 2003: Participated in Graduation ceremonies.
July 2003: Arranged Newark Bears reading program and visit from pitcher Hut Smith.
August 2003: Sponsored First Annual Alumni Picnic at Brick.
October 2003: Sponsored Second Annual Alumni Day at SRL.
November 2003: Sponsored First Annual SRLAA Dinner-Dance at Lakewood honoring Frs. O'Leary and Flusk.
November 2003: Began continuing Art Education program at SRL.
December 2003: Participated in Christmas Prayer Service; presented school with nine VCR/DVD units; honored Principal Arthur Wilson with SRLAA 2003 Award of Appreciation.
January 2004: Participated in Catholic Schools Week Staff Appreciation Day at the school; arranged for feature story in the Asbury Park Press.
